The re-selection of low-grade antimony sulfide ore tips
July.30,2024
Antimony sulfide ore is stibnite, which is the main mineral of antimony. With the continuous depletion of mineral resources, many low-grade antimony sulfide ore resources have gradually been developed and utilized. In the past, antimony ore beneficiation was basically carried out by flotation, which not only requires large investment and high cost, but also has low efficiency and certain pollution to the environment. The key is that for low-grade antimony sulfide ore, although the flotation method can achieve ideal beneficiation indicators, due to the huge investment and production costs, the flotation of low-grade antimony sulfide ore has no economic value, which makes it impossible for many low-grade antimony sulfide ores to be reasonably and effectively processed. In order to effectively utilize the low-grade antimony sulfide ore, people began to use gravity separation to enrich the low-grade antimony sulfide ore, discard the waste rock in large quantities, and then flotation and purification, which can greatly reduce the investment and production costs of flotation equipment, so that the low-grade antimony sulfide ore that originally had no economic value can be fully utilized.
The main purpose of gravity separation of low-grade antimony sulfide ore is to discard the waste rock in the ore, and to initially enrich the low-grade antimony sulfide to meet the grade requirements of flotation, thereby reducing the investment and production costs of flotation equipment. Therefore, we should pay attention to two issues when gravity separation of antimony sulfide. The first is low cost and small investment; the second is high output and high recovery rate.
To enrich low-grade antimony sulfide ore by gravity separation and obtain a higher recovery rate, it is necessary to avoid over-crushing of the ore during the ore crushing process, because the antimony mineral crystals are brittle and fragile, and it is very easy to produce over-crushing. When the gravity separation method recovers antimony, the recovery rate of over-crushed mineral crystals is very low, which must be paid attention to.
