Sepiolite scrubbing machine beneficiation process

Sepiolite and associated mineral particles are separated by density in a centrifugal field, and the dispersion of mineral particles is crucial. If sepiolite and associated mineral particles are not stably dispersed, they will aggregate to form larger particles, which will cause them to precipitate with high-density mineral particles and cannot be separated from the associated mineral particles. Only under good and stable dispersion can the subsequent centrifugal separation play a sorting role. Therefore, to achieve a better selection and purification effect, it is necessary to handle the two links of sepiolite dissociation and dispersion and centrifugal separation.

Therefore, the mechanism of selection and purification is that sepiolite and impurity minerals are dissociated and dispersed first, and then sepiolite and impurity minerals are separated in a laminar centrifugal field.

The use of scrubbing dispersion and centrifugal separation technology can achieve effective separation of sepiolite and associated talc, quartz, calcite, etc., and obtain a higher purity sepiolite concentrate.

The optimal conditions of scrubbing-centrifugal dispersion were determined, and the sepiolite crude concentrate with a grade of 56.0% can be purified to a sepiolite grade of 89.2%, and the sepiolite recovery rate is 75.34%, and the concentrate yield is 47.30%.

After the selection and purification, the particle size of the sepiolite is reduced, the suspension stability is increased, and the adsorption capacity is increased.

The principle of scrubbing-centrifugal selection and purification of sepiolite: sepiolite and impurity minerals are dissociated and first dispersed stably, and then the sepiolite and impurity minerals are separated in the laminar centrifugal field.
