The revolving screen is also called a drum screen or a rotary screen, and is mostly used to screen larger particles of materials. It is constructed as a slightly inclined drum with a screen on the drum surface.
During screening, the material is added into the drum from the inlet, and the fine material passes through the screen holes, while the coarse material moves along the inclined surface of the drum and is discharged at the outlet. The drum screen has cylindrical, conical, hexagonal and octagonal shapes, and can separate the crushed materials into two or more different particles according to the particle size. It has a simple structure, is reliable, easy to maintain, and has a wide range of uses.
