The main components of drilling fluid are 3 parts, namely:

The continuous phase includes:
Water: water-based drilling fluid
Oil: oil-based drilling fluid
Synthetic-based liquid: synthetic-based drilling fluid
Gas: air, nitrogen, (mist, foam)
Solid phase
Molding materials (bentonite, attapulgite, sepiolite, etc.)
Weighting materials (barite, limestone, iron ore powder, etc.)
Drill cuttings
Plugged materials, solid lubricants, etc.
Insoluble chemical precipitates
Insoluble matter in certain treatment agents
3. Additives
Filtrate reducer Bactericide
Viscosifier Calcifier
Flocculant Corrosion inhibitor
Diluent (deflocculant) Shale inhibitor
